1. Domain Registration Pricing

The following table lists our standard domain registration fees. Prices are per year unless otherwise indicated.

Prices are subject to change. Any price changes will be communicated to existing customers at least 30 days before taking effect. Prices for TLDs not listed above are available upon request or during the registration process on our website.

Note: .uk domain transfers are free of charge as per Nominet's tag-change transfer process. A one-year renewal may apply depending on the domain's current expiry date.

2. Domain Transfer Fees

Transferring a domain to Varlox typically includes a one-year renewal extension. Transfer fees are listed in the pricing table above. Some registries, including Nominet (.uk), operate a tag-change transfer system at no additional cost.

Transfer fees are non-refundable once the transfer has been initiated and accepted by the losing registrar or registry.

3. Domain Renewal Fees

Renewal fees are the same as the registration fees listed in the pricing table above, unless otherwise communicated. Domains may be renewed for periods of 1 to 10 years, subject to the policies of the applicable registry.

Varlox will send renewal reminders via email at the following intervals before the domain expiry date: 60 days, 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before expiry.

4. Expired and Expiring Domain Policy

This section outlines our policy regarding domain names that are approaching or have passed their expiry date. It is critical that registrants understand these timelines and take appropriate action to maintain their domain registrations.

4.1. Expiry Notifications

Varlox will send expiry notification emails to the registrant's contact email address at the following intervals:

• 60 days before the expiry date
• 30 days before the expiry date
• 7 days before the expiry date
• 1 day before the expiry date

In accordance with Nominet requirements for .uk domain names, at least one notification will be sent no later than 30 days before the domain expiry date. Notifications are sent to the email address on file for the domain registrant. It is the registrant's responsibility to ensure that their contact information is accurate and up to date.

4.2. Auto-Renewal

If auto-renewal is enabled on your account and a valid payment method is on file, your domain will be automatically renewed prior to the expiry date. You will receive a confirmation of renewal and a receipt by email.

If auto-renewal fails due to an expired or declined payment method, we will notify you by email and provide instructions for manual renewal. It is the registrant's responsibility to ensure that payment information is kept up to date.

4.3. Grace Period (Post-Expiry)

After a domain name expires, most registries provide a grace period during which the domain can still be renewed at the standard renewal rate. The length of the grace period varies by registry:

• .uk / .co.uk / .org.uk (Nominet): Approximately 30 days grace period
• .com / .net: Approximately 40 days grace period
• .org: Approximately 30 days grace period
• .eu (EURid): Approximately 40 days quarantine period
• .de (DENIC): Transit period as per DENIC guidelines
• .nl (SIDN): Approximately 40 days quarantine period
• Other TLDs: Grace periods vary; contact us for specific information

During the grace period, the domain may be suspended and any associated services (website, email) may cease to function. The domain can be renewed at the standard renewal fee during this period.

4.4. Redemption Period

After the grace period expires, many registries offer a redemption period during which the domain can be recovered. An additional redemption fee applies, which varies by registry and is typically significantly higher than the standard renewal fee.

The redemption fee is charged in addition to the standard renewal fee. Contact us for current redemption pricing.

4.5. Deletion and Re-registration

After the redemption period expires, the domain is deleted from the registry and becomes available for re-registration by any party. Varlox cannot guarantee the recovery of a domain once it has been deleted from the registry.

We strongly recommend that registrants maintain up-to-date payment information and respond promptly to expiry notifications to avoid losing their domain names.

5. Contract Termination

Customers may terminate their service agreement with Varlox at any time without penalty. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.

Upon termination:

• Any outstanding fees for services already rendered must be paid in full.
• Domain names may be transferred to another registrar of the customer's choice prior to or following termination, subject to the transfer policies of the applicable registry.
• If domains are not transferred, they will remain registered until their expiry date and will not be renewed unless instructed otherwise.
• Account data will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of domain registration services, the following refund policy applies:

• Domain registration fees are generally non-refundable once the domain has been registered with the relevant registry, as registry fees are non-recoverable.
• Domain renewal fees are non-refundable once the renewal has been processed by the registry.
• Domain transfer fees are non-refundable once the transfer has been initiated.
• If a registration, renewal, or transfer fails due to an error on our part, a full refund will be issued.
• Refund requests should be directed to [email protected] within 5 business days of the transaction.

Varlox reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion for exceptional circumstances.

7. Additional Services

Pricing for additional services such as WHOIS privacy, DNS hosting, domain monitoring, and premium DNS is available on our website or upon request. These services are subject to their own terms and renewal conditions.
